Wendell
Daniel, owner and founder of All
Pest Solutions is no stranger to running a business.
With 30 years of experience in entrepreneurship, Wendell has been in some
type of business since he was five years old.
As a young boy, Wendell’s parents, Harold and Kay Daniel bought a
country store in
east Texas and moved from Dallas for this family business
venture. At the young age of five
when most kids were playing Wendell was running a cashed register, stocking
shelves, pumping gas and delivering groceries to the elderly on his bicycle.
His parents taught him at an early age the importance of good customer
service and the dedication it takes to be successful.
After graduating high school 3rd in his class, Wendell moved
to Wylie and went to work for Wal-Mart in Plano as a truck unloader where his
strong work ethic was quickly recognized by the late Sam Walton and was promoted
up through the ranks. At the young
age of 20 Wendell was managing Wal-Mart stores around the metroplex.
After Sam passed away and 24-hour operations took his place, Wendell
moved on to a more consistent “family” schedule after 12 years of dedicated
service.
Wendell, being an outdoorsman and working inside all his life
wanted to go into the pest control industry but knew everything about business
and nothing about the pest control industry.
With that in mind Wendell went to work for Orkin the most recognized name
in the industry. He quickly was
promoted to Branch Manager in Arlington and soon transferred to the Orkin branch
in McKinney, Texas. Wendell got his
technicians license and certified applicators license while continuing to learn
the industry and running the branch.
Wendell grew the business to over a 10,000 customer base,
before moving on, driven by the desire to own his own business.
After doing research into successful independent pest control operators,
Wendell embarked on a business partnership with one of Dallas’ largest
independents, Jim Schumacker of All Safe Pest Control, where he furthered his
industry knowledge on a more personalized scale.
All-Safe was about the size of the Orkin branch he had left when he
partnered up in July of 1997 with the grand opening of the first branch for
All-Safe in Allen, Texas. In two
and half years Wendell grew the business from customer base of 23 to a over
1,200. By now Wendell felt he was more than ready to live his and
his family’s dream with the opening of All
Pest Solutions in December of 2003.
All Pest Solutions’ business model has been taken from the
best of Wendell’s business experiences and have been combined under one roof
with the birth of this new customer oriented business.

COMMUNITY
INVOLVEMENT is another area that Wendell has always felt is a vital part of a
successful business.
He
is no stranger to giving back to the community.
For seven years Wendell volunteered as a fireman in Wylie where he served
as Lieutenant, Logistics Officer and Battalion Chief before stepping down to
spend more time with his family. During
his tenure as a volunteer firefighter while store directing Wal-Mart stores
around the Metroplex, Wendell was the recipient of the Sam M. Walton Leadership
of Excellence award in 1994 (the most prestigious award in the Wal-Mart
corporation) which is given to a single store director annually for his
community involvement and business entrepreneurship. Wendell has participated in children development through
coaching various sports organizations around the area and will continue his
involvement in children development. Wendell
continues to be involved in several local chambers.
Wendell is also currently a member of the Wylie Lions Club.
